The leadership in China has been repeatedly updated about akistan's illegal occupation of parts of Kashmir, said External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Wednesday.
Interacting with media here on the sidelines of his three-day visit to China, Krishna said: "Well, this has been generally raised with the Chinese leadership and we feel that Pakistan is in illegal occupation of certain territories in Jammu and Kashmir and this has been brought to the notice of the Chinese side repeatedly and there it stands."
India and Pakistan have fought at least three wars over Kashmir, including the Indo-Pakistani Wars of 1947, 1965 and 1999.
India and Pakistan have been in dispute over Kashmir for more than six decades. Both countries have engaged in several conflicts related to the political ownership of the region, and have engaged in a verbal war of words at various multi-lateral fora. y Naveen Kapoor (ANI)
