According to media reports Yuvraj Singh, India’s premier batsman, is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the United States. Times Now has reported that he is currently in Boston being treated for early stage cancer between his lungs and heart. An India Today report has quoted his physiotherapist Jatin Choudhary who confirmed the news on Sunday.
NDTV has reported today that his treatment started in February and will go on till March. Yuvraj had left for the US on 26 January.
Yuvraj’s tumour was first detected in October but it was said to non-malignant.
Earlier, in the month Yuvraj had tweeted on rumours that he was having surgery: “Haven’t done any surgery! I don’t no we’re does Such news come from I’m just on medication !” He had also denied rumours of his chemotherapy and said that he was only receiving medication.
Earlier on Saturday, Yuvraj said that he will draw inspiration from cycling champion Lance Armstrong to battle his lung tumour. For now Yuvraj’s fans and cricket fans worldwide will be praying hard for his recovery.
