According to District Hospital authorities, four passengers died and 10 injured when a bus met with a road accident at Channi Morh (Kashirah), about 04 kilometers away from district headquarters Udhampur on Dhar-Udhamur road, today. The ill fated bus bearing registration No.JK02AH-7479 was on its way from Udhampur to Ramnagar met with the fatal accident at Channi morh at about 1 PM.
The District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. Baseer Ahmed Khan accompanied by senior officers visited the hospital to take stock of medicare facilities being provided to the injured. The DDC instructed the hospital authorities to provide best treatment to the injured. The District Administration also made adequate arrangements for the transportation of dead and injured to their respective destinations. The DDC also visited the site of accident.
According to District Hospital Authorities, Udhampur one seriously injured namely Talto Devi W/O Suram Chand R/o Surni was referred to Government Medical College, Jammu for treatment.
Those who died in this accident have been identified as Ram Ditta S/o Panjabu Ram R/o Ramnagar, Nand Lal S/o Munshi Ram R/o Kainthgali, Suram Chand R/o Surni Ramnagar and the identity of one deceased could not be ascertained till the time of filing of story.
