Jammu and Kashmir Government presented its annual budget for the fiscal 2011-12 in the Legislative Assembly
On Monday.
A few highlights of the budget are:
*Government employees would get 10 percent of Dearness Allowance in cash along with salary from April 2011 onwards.
* Wages of the dailwagers hiked from Rs 110 to Rs 125
* The state government has proposed to hike the VAT on tobacco products by 25 percent
* Rs 40 crore have been earmarked for Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Scheme for unemployed youth.
* Rs 316 crore have been earmarked for Skill Development Policy.
