Police on Thursday detained the Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani on at the Srinagar International Airport after he arrived from New Delhi.
Soon after his arrival this afternoon, he was detained and escorted to his Hyderpora House. Police said that he had been place under house arrest.
