A special team of Delhi Police did not allow the chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani to board Srinagar bound flight from New Delhi on Tuesday, the spokesman of the conglomerate Ayaz Akbar told IK.
He said that Geelani and his son Naseem Geelani were arrested on Delhi Airport this afternoon. “ They were taken to a police station,” he added.
Pertinently, Delhi Police on February 20 had asked Geelani not to leave Delhi before recording his statement in a Hawala case. However, Geelani had refused to go to Lodhi Road Police Station to get his statement reordered. He had asked Delhi Police to record his statement at his Malwiya Nagar residence
